Good morning Apple Class friends and families,

This week in Apple Class, we have been reading our core text "Polar Bear and the Snow Cloud" by Jane Cabrera.

Some of you at home may not know it, so I've attached a video below of the story being read aloud.

As you hear in the story the polar bear's only friend is a fluffy white snow cloud. He loved the cloud, but he wished for a friend he could play with. The snow cloud takes pity on him and tries to help by making him a variety of snow friends.

Apple friends... your job today is to draw or make the polar bear a new snow friend! This can be a human (even you) or an animal.

Things to think about:
  • The colours you're going to use,
  • The shape of the snow friend's head and body,
  • How many arms and legs it has,
  • Its eyes, nose, ears and a mouth or does it have a beak instead?
  • Can your snow friend fly? Does it need wings?
Once you've created your snow friend please pop them onto your learning journal for me to see!

Have a great day creating.
