Autumn 2 week 7 2023

A whole term has gone by in Pear class...can you believe it!?

We have rounded off this week with so much festive fun! Wednesday was our party day and we had such a great time dancing and playing games and we even had a visit from Santa who very kindly gave Pear class some play doh and some toy cars to play with- thank you Santa!
We have enjoyed lots of festive arts and crafts this week and of course lot of singing!
We were very excited to have two visitors to Pear class this week- Scott's Mummy came in to talk to us about her experience of Christmas in Spain and Norway. We learnt about the foods that people eat on Christmas day in Spain, that there are lots and lots of lights and that people leave their shoe out on Christmas eve in the hope that when they wake in the morning there will be presents in their shoe.
We also welcomed Harper's Daddy on Friday when he was our secret reader- we absolutely loved listening to the story he told us! Thank you to Scott and Harper's parents! We always love to have parents in- if you would love to come and read a story as part of our secret reader activity, you would be very welcome indeed.

When we come back after the Christmas holidays, we will be reading our school reading books and library books at the beginning of the week so please make sure that books are brought into school on a Monday.

We hope that you all have a wonderful Christmas holidays with your lovely children and we look forward to welcoming you back in January.

Merry Christmas and a happy new year,

The Pear class team
