What is a Thrive Approach?

Thrive is a systematic and dynamic approach used in the early identification of social and emotional developmental needs in children and young people, that helps teachers and adults interpret behaviour/s and address emotional needs.

Through early identification, assessment and action planning, differentiated provision based on a child's needs can be put in place by the adults working most closely with them.

Thrive is a preventative, reparative and pragmatic approach to addressing the social and emotional development needs in children, it builds resilience and resourcefulness, whilst reducing the risk of mental illness.
