Head Teacher's Blog 07.09.22

7th September 2022

Welcome back, we hope that everyone has had a wonderful summer holiday and that the children are refreshed and looking forward to the new school year.  It certainly has been lovely to see the sun. Let’s hope that the fine weather continues so that we can make the most of our fabulous new outdoor space during the autumn term.

The newsletter will be with you later in the week and we encourage you to take some time to read it so you can find out about all of the super things that we are looking forward to at Swansfield in the coming term.

We’re hoping that the autumn term will be a healthy one and that community transmissions of Covid will reduce in number. In line with national guidelines, please can we ask for your continued support in keeping your child at home if they have a high temperature and/or feel unwell.

We noticed a large number of earrings last term, please remember that these must be removed for safety reasons.

Classroom doors will be open from 8.35am on Wednesday morning but please note that to reduce congestion on The Cut, we will continue with a stagger for KS1 classes.  Beech Class door will open at 8.40am and Oak Class door will open at 8.45am. Collection at the end of the day is 3.00pm but Ash Class will be dismissed at 2.55pm and Oak Class will be dismissed at 3.05pm.

Here’s a cheery tune to help everyone jump out of bed in the morning.

We’re looking forward to seeing you all!
