Head Teacher's Blog 12th February

11th February 2024

What a week!

I’m going to keep the blog short and sweet today, you’ve all had more than enough messages from me over the last few days!

The necessary repair work began on Friday and has been ongoing all through the weekend. I will keep everyone posted with progress but we do hope to be back to normal by Monday 26th February.

In the meantime, please remember for next week:

  • Gates will not open in the morning until 08.30 and please see the email sent on Friday with arrangements for drop off and pick up

  • Tic Toc will not be open next week

  • Children should bring a packed lunch to school

  • All children need wellies or outdoor shoes (please bring in tomorrow if not already in school)

  • Children can bring in an extra layer to wear in classrooms - a hoodie or a fleece top (please ensure this is named)

  • Children should wear PE kit on their usual PE days

  • The only after school clubs running next week will be NUF on Tuesday and Friday afternoons

Please be assured that all of the events that have been cancelled last week and this week will be rescheduled for after the half term holiday.

What about stars of the week? Well, I think a special star of the week award goes to any parent who juggled childcare, home learning and their own job too, or any grandparent, family member or friend who looked after children at short notice and ‘got through’ a tricky few days. Thank you and well done! Here’s a song for you…

I’m looking forward to seeing everyone in the morning.
