Life Science Centre

To start our Space explorers work, we read information about three different scientists before having the opportunity to take part in a live chat with them. We asked all sorts of questions about the science they specialise in to their favourite food. David, who works at Life Science centre, even said he would pop down and say hello during our trip.
We had an amazing time at the Life Science Centre as part of our Space Explorers work. We participated in live science shows, 'Destination Space' workshops as well as watched a short film inside the planetarium. Some of our favourite activities were the use of robotic arms to change solar panels on satellites as well as investigating the amount of liquid that could be held in an astronaut’s nappy!

To end our Space Explorers work, the inflatable planetarium came to visit our school. Once we stepped inside we were taken on a journey to the Moon. We had some very important jobs including communications with Earth and safety precautions.
