Week 27th April Blog

HI Cherries,

I hope I find you all well and safe. Thank you to everyone who has shared their home learning, your work and contributions are fabulous.

This week I would like to work on communication and language.  This will enhance your child’s understanding, speaking, listening and attention. I would like each of you to pick out your child’s favourite story book and make your own story box.

Here are some ideas to help/choose from:

Help your child choose their favourite story.

Your story box can be anything you like -  it doesn’t even have to be box it could be a tub, basket, tin or bag.

Decorate your story box.

Add words your child remembers from the story, if you're feeling brave help your child trace out simple small words to do with the story.

Paint, colour or draw your own pictures from the story.

Choose items/objects from around your house that might be mentioned in the story to add to your box.

Make props for your story box such as masks, puppets or natural resources from outside.

Talk about feelings from your story and draw happy, sad, worried faces.

The choices are endless! Enjoy making and using your story boxes, can’t wait to hear all about it.

Stay safe!
