Easter Fun and Photos: 6th - 20th of April

Hi Willow Class,

Hope everyone is well and getting into the swing of working from home. I have had more work shared with me this week by email and some lovely messages on Frog Play. Keep it coming as it is great to stay in touch and see the fantastic work you have been doing! Some of you have even sent me photos of some art and craft activities you have been doing and I have even spotted some home cooking pics on the school's photo gallery. Frog Play is becoming more popular and for those who have been using it you have achieved some great scores. Keep up the hard work and if you haven't had a go on Frog Play yet then after the Easter break is the time to give it your best shot. School 360 points will be given out when we return to school.

Over the Easter break teachers are not setting subject activities but we are going to keep you all busy in a different way with our Swansfield 'Eggstraordinary Eggstavaganza'. You are being asked to get creative and decorate an egg, make an Easter bonnet or an Easter garden then take a photo and email it in to school so we can add it to our virtual gallery. All entries need to show first names and your class so they can be judged and there will be prizes. Full details of the competition are below.

Also below this page I have added a PDF file which was sent to me by a parent. Open this up to see some fantastic ideas for different scavenger hunts that you could try out over the Easter break and beyond. From 'indoor' and 'inventor' scavenger hunts to 'maths' and 'nature' hunts - there is something for everyone! If you try some of them out, you could take a photo of everything you found and send it to me or even make a scavenger hunt poster with drawings or photos of what you found. What ever you decide to do, have fun with it. It's a great way to pass the time!

Along with 'Scavenger Ideas' I have added a lovely RE resource where children can have a go at designing their own Station of the Cross and a Red Cross 'Kindness Calendar' resource.

No doubt some of you have already listened to some of the David Walliams' stories online. You can still catch up with the stories he has already told and continue to listen to 'Elevenses with the World of David Walliams' at: https://www.worldofdavidwalliams.com/elevenses/
I listened to 'No No Noe' from World's Worst Children 2 and had such a giggle - very entertaining!

Spellings and subject activities will resume from Monday the 20th of April. However, you can still keep going on Times Tables Rockstars where another 10 Garage Bands Sessions have been set over each of the next 2 weeks. Again, I'm pleased to see that some children have been going on this and Numbots - well done!

In the mean time, stay positive, keep smiling, enjoy your chocolate eggs and get cracking with the Easter competition. I can't wait to see all the creative ideas you come up with! Please email if you need me for anything.
