Cragside

As part of our Humanities and Science work, we visited Cragside to help us understand more about the life and works of Lord Armstrong, Hydroelectricity and the River Coquet.  We had a fantastic day observing engines in action at the Pump House and Power House. We also watched the Archimedes screw and learnt about Hydroelectricity. Our favourite room in the Victorian house was the science room, although we also enjoyed exploring the study and the stain glass windows, which were designed by William Morris.
