Anti-Bullying Week

We've taken some time out this week to consider how lucky we are to have such great friends.  Reading the story Mr Big by Ed Vere helped us understand how important friendship is and how sad and lonely it can be without it.  The children expressed so much empathy towards Mr Big at the beginning of the story when those around him judged him before getting to know him.  The children learnt just how dangerous this can be.  They celebrated with Mr Big at the end of the story when he wasn't lonely anymore.

The children then chose a friend to make a friendship bracelet for.  Each person told their friend exactly why they are special and needed.

"Because you play with me."

"Because you share with me."

"Because we play together at playtime."

"Because you're my best friend."

Plum Class love celebrating friendship!
